We encourage and support practices based on ethical, responsible, and social principles. We develop various programmes through five main lines of action:

At ESBS we are committed to promoting and supporting ethical and sustainable business. Our goal is to train professionals in a global market, committed to society and sustainability, in the leadership and management of companies and organisations.
- Social Responsibility in class:
Each of our postgraduate programmes has a line of social responsibility. A person in charge will provide guidelines to teachers, students and partner companies, with the aim of developing, creating and analysing cases, projects, ideas, and resources from a social, ethical and sustainable approach.
- Social Responsibility training for managers and trainers:
Through specific programmes at ESBS, we have designed postgraduate and continuing education programmes specifically in sustainable management, efficient management, and sustainable development through sport and management.
Our aim in creating our online short and medium-length programmes and courses for trainers is to always maintain an ethical, social, and environmentally friendly approach.
- Ethical and responsible trainers:
In each course, the student will be able to learn variables in their training towards ethical and social behaviour, taking into account the challenge of diversity and respect for the individual differences of their athletes/students.
We develop specific courses and continuing education programmes for sports education in the field of learning disabilities. We promote sporting learning processes in various disciplines for people with learning disabilities, promoting inclusion and enjoyment in this group, through a proven methodology such as that of our educational partner, the Spanish Sports Federation for People with Intellectual Disabilities (FEDDI).

Education in developing countries
We believe that training overcomes barriers of any kind, which is why every year we grant aid to different groups. All our postgraduate, masters, continuing education programmes, and courses have access to different grants, subject to certain admission requirements, which are stipulated in each programme.
Our entrepreneurial spirit as an institution that was born out of sports entrepreneurship makes us particularly interested in this area and, therefore, every year, we support the creation of new projects and sports companies which can be maintained sustainably over time.
Providing our academic community with education, financial support through crowdfunding and non-profit consultancy in the creation of new companies and sports projects.
More than 40% of our students are from developing countries, a fact that encourages us to develop programmes that are adapted to their specific needs and resources.
Committed to affordable and accesible education, we use technology as a tool so anyone can learn from anywhere in the world and at any time, using a basic internet connection and at affordable prices. Likewise, through our free MOOOC courses, we aim to cover basic learning needs in different areas.
An open and expanding programme, which we also include in our scholarship programme, and in which we aim to generate more partnerships with local organisations and institutions, content translation in English and Chinese, and cultural exchange programmes through sport.
3. Research Foundation
At ESBS we believe in research as the basis for the generation of knowledge, innovation, and the creation of new projects and companies.
We currently have two lines of research, a programme that is growing and whose objective is to generate knowledge under a structure of social responsibility, and through alliances with universities and study and research centres.
4. Social Sustainability Foundation
ESBS was born as an innovative company that believes in sports’ values and in technology as a facilitator for education with a social approach and under the precept of minimum waste generation, specifically those generated by the teaching activity itself.
Since our inception, we have committed ourselves to a responsibility towards the environment that can be seen in our programmes and in our actions.
Sustainability training
Sustainable Management Support
All our programmes, and specifically the management programme, include a section on environmental sustainability, with the aim of promoting and raising awareness of the need to respect the environment and natural resources.
We have specific continuing education and postgraduate programmes in environmental sustainability, sustainable sports management, efficient management of sports facilities and events, carbon footprint, among others.
Institutions such as Valencia CF and its Foundation have been advised by our sustainability professionals.
- Development of the first Sustainability Plan for a professional football club in Spain.
- Calculation of the Carbon Footprint.
- Application, implementation, and review of ISO 14.001 Environmental Management.
- Development of events and training actions under the precepts of efficiency, sustainability, and environmental awareness.
5. Business Foundation
We promote Corporate Social Responsibility and our aim is that our partner companies and our faculty and students are aware of our commitment to responsibility and ethics in management, in order to develop and generate responsible, ethical, social, and sustainable projects.
